Meet the Moussette Family......Linda, Dan, Chrystal & Kaylin.

I have had the wonderful pleasure of being friends with Linda & her Family for a little over 3 years now.
I met Linda and developed a close relationship with her rather quickley.  She is kind, hardworking, loving and her Family & God mean more to her than anything in this world.
Linda and I shared many a conversation about the Families upcoming move to Branson Missouri, her Husband Dan was to be retiring soon from his Custodial job with the Shiloh School District, where he was employed for 21 years. They were going to move in the spring of 2017 when Chrysatl had graduated from culinary school.

Well, as we all know life has a funny/weird way at trying to challenge us and question our faith every now and again.

In November of 2104 Linda was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, which had metastasized to her hip, the tumor was in her bone.  She started radiation & chemo therapy in February 2015, needless to say the treatments made Linda very sick to the point she was barely able to work, she pushed through and went to work as much as her body would allow her, Linda was working as an office administrator for Barden Circulation, she loved her job and they loved her.  In May of 2015 she had her last treatment and in June had a PET scan....and wonderful news!!! Linda was Cancer free!!  The family once again started to move forward with their plans of moving to Branson and Dan's retirement.  The school board had a wonderful retirement party for Dan....life was good, Linda and the and Family were thankful & felt very blessed.  They had saved money and were continuing to save and look for their perfect retirement place in Branson.  The girls were excited, Chrystal was going to look for work a s a Chef and their other daughter Kaylin was  to start College in the fall.
In May of 2016 Linda started having horrible headaches, that no matter what she did they would not go away......Dan took her into the Emergency room at the local hospital where they immediatly did a CT Scan, the cancer had returned.......The scan showed 2 tumors on Linda's brain.
The Doctors immediatly sent Linda to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis where the Neurosurgical Team set her up for emergency  brain surgery.  On June 8, 2016 they found blood clots had developed in her legs and lung. They put in a clot filter so the clots would not make their way up and she was put on medication in hopes that they would dissolve.  On June 10, 2016 they did brain surgery to remove the larger tumor. The other tumor they would try and use radiationin hopes to shrink it.  On July 13th, they found that the blood clots in her legs were getting worse. They increased her blood thinning medication to help dissolve the blood clots.  She started radiation for the whole brain on July 12th, which is being done every day in St. Louis.

Since Linda's cancer has returned, Dan has had to stay home and care for his wife Linda who is not able to cook, clean or even take care of her own day to day personal care. He takes her everyday form their home in New Athens, Illinois to St. Louis for her radiation treatments.  They have had to once again put their moving plans on hold and have spent all of their nest egg on Linda's care which is not all covered by their insurance. Dan had decided to return to work but can't even do that because his wife needs to be cared for at home. Their daughters are doing as much as they can to pitch in as well, with cooking and cleaning and helping with their Mom.  Dan is doing odd jobs as close to home as possible that don't consume alot of his time so he can be close to Linda.

This is a wonderful Family that is trying to pull together so that Linda can get healthy and she can have the treatment and care that she needs......Who doesn't deserve the best possible health care??  This woman would never ask for help or a hand-out.  Sometimes unforseen things happen in life that we just don't have any control over. linda does not want people to feel sorry for her, or her Family.
I am reacing out, as Linda's friend and as someone who watched My Father, My Best Friend get stolen away by this awfil, disgusting, family ruining disease.....She, Dan and her Daughters need some help. help with medical expenses, and just day to day living costs that we all at one time or another take for granted.

I f you are able to help, no matter how much I know that Linda and her Family would be very appreciative, Thank-you in advance
