This summer I decided to do the van-life thing and head out on the road with my online Instagram bookstore, Etheric Circle.
It has been great to visit family and friends while scouting for books at all these little independent bookstores along the way — but recently I was rear-ended and my van is in need of serious repairs — which fortunately the insurance will cover.
However, what they won’t cover is a place for me to stay while my van is being repaired. Remember, I was living out of the van while traveling to different bookstore across the country.
I’ve reached out to lawyers in the area, but none have expressed any interest in taking me on as a client.
At this point I just want to get to Chicago where I have friends and family I can stay with until the van is fixed.
So, what do I need $2000 for? As of now I already owe $1200 on hotel rooms that I need to pay back to family, and it should only take me a few days to get to Chicago from where I am now. I think $800 will cover the hotel and gas expense.
You would not only be helping me out of a terribly stressful situation, but will also be ensuring that all the people who have recently purchased books will get their orders shipped on time.
I am eternally grateful for any assistance.
