Prenatal Care for Women in Haiti
My name is Patrizia, and anyone who knows me knows that helping mothers safely deliver their babies has always been my passion.

In my beloved Haiti, many women still die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth and leave their families and newborn baby behind.
Only 4 out of 10 women give birth with the assistance of a skilled health professional, and a significantly low percentage of women attend prenatal care visits where they would be screened for complications.
Fortunately organizations, like Midwives for Haiti, are already doing remarkable work in addressing the barriers to maternal health in Haiti and saving women's lives. Midwives for Haiti has been operating in Haiti for over a decade. They have been training community midwives to help address the shortage of birth skilled attendants, providing quality prenatal care though their mobile clinic, and most recently built a birthing center. WITHOUT our support, they won't be able to continue providing prenatal care and emergency transportation to the women in rural communities who walk miles to access

health service during their pregnancy and who desperately need our help.
I ask you to please show your generous support and help me reach my goal of 2000$ (which will allow Midwives for Haiti to provide prenatal care services to 200 women) by Mother's Day (May 8 20016).
Thanks a million!
Patrizia
