We would have never thought this day would come so early for Calvin Raymond Byas. Everyone known my dad as “ Poppy “, the man who came to everyone’s rescue no matter what. He loved his wife and kids with his soul. He did everything to protect, care, and cherish them. He didn’t play no games when it came to them. Poppy didn’t deserve to be gunned down in cold blood, as hard as he worked to accomplish his goals he didn’t deserve to suffer for his last breathe with his own daughter. It breaks our heart that we have to lay him to rest so soon unexpected.

Poppy was a hard working man. You couldn’t tell him nothing when it came to his work. He loved his job as much as he loved his family. He grew as a man, working his way up in life because of his great skills. My dad stayed busy no matter what. He was so relaxed and calm all the time. When it was time to enjoy himself best believe my dad had a good time. He didn’t like no bad energy around him when he was in the turn up mood. He dedicated his life to his wife, kids, and work. It hurt his family to the core that he is gone and never will return.
