Hello everyone, I’m fundraising for myself.
I was involved in back to back car accidents 13 months ago. I hit a deer at 70 mph for the 1st accident and the very next day my foot slipped off the brake pedal and hit the gas pedal in the rent a car I was driving and hit a car ahead of me as we were slowing down at an intersection.
Ambulances were called for both accidents and I was taken to the hospital for the 1st accident and 2 people, the car that I hit, were taken to the hospital for the 2nd accident I was involved in.
My car was totaled in the first accident and I was forced to get a new car and put my last $1000.00 I had in my bank account for a down payment. Also, because I had just minimum car insurance coverage. Ambulance and hospital bills were not covered by my insurance. My insurance company denied payment and the hospitals and ambulance services came after to me to pay them. After a while these bills were turned over to Collection Agencies for payment from me.
I live paycheck to paycheck. I rent a room from a person to live, I have a higher car payment due to the fact I don’t have a great credit rating and my car insurance doubled on what I was originally paying. So I don’t have any money to give the Collectors each month.
I have Advance Osteoarthritis in both knees and need knee replacements but I can’t get them because I have bills to pay and I need a place to live. I don’t want to be homeless.
Any funds that I receive will be used to pay off these bills collectors. These collection calls have been like a noose around my neck and I would like to get rid of them and give me back a peace of mind.
This was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I consider my l’ll self a caring and giving person. One that is always there to help a person out. To ask someone for help is a very humbling thing to do. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could provide. I know there are people out there with worse problems than me. That is what makes this experience most humbling for me. I would like to say “Thank you for anyone who contributes to my fundraiser”. It is most truly appreciated by me.
