Larry Looker's Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Hi my name is Brian Woytiuk and I am asking everyone to help me raise money for my cousin Larry Looker. You may or may not be aware that Larry was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and has just finished going through the biopsy stage before his treatment.
Larry is living in Leduc Alberta and is employed as a car salesman. During last Christmas Larry had stopped over for a visit to my house in Regina and he said he was just getting over a bout of pneumonia, unfortunately he soon found out that it was lung cancer. Having lost both of my parents to cancer I know how devastating that can be on an individual and their family. Larry is unable to work and does not have any health insurance coverage to cover any of his wage loss. That means no work, no money, however the bills keep coming and those must be paid. Larry has a long struggle ahead fighting his cancer and the last thing anyone needs is the added financial stress. The money raised would help ease the burden of these costs while Larry is unable to work.
Larry through the years has always been a community minded person that gave freely of his time to help others in need. Here are some of the things Larry has done to help his community. Special Olympics Leduc helping raise money and showing support at the baseball games Bar b Q at work Big Brothers in Regina raising donations and bowling with members of the riders the Balgonie curling club he was the president when they had the Sask Scott tournament of hearts and the 1st time it was held in an arena setting he raised money for the club by having companies pay for signage in the curling arena free pizza for the Jr curlers jackets for the Jr curlers all donated. Larry helped sponsor the FSIN winter games in Regina donating 10 vans so the elders could attend the events. Larry got pledges for both the cancer and diabetic organizations walking for them to raise funds. He also donated his time to Bosco Homes for troubled youth.
It is my sincere hope that we can raise $25,000 to help Larry in his time of need. Will you please donate to Larry in his time of need so he doesn't have to worry about his finances during this time and can concentrate on getting healthy again. I would think if we all donated that by the end of March we could raise this amount of money.
I want to thank you all in advance and I know that Larry will be forever greatful for your help at this stressful time in his life.
