My good friend Todd has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and is only in his late 40's. This nightmare began for him back in January with a simple kidney stone and now only 6 months later the doctors are unsure of his prognosis because they can't figure out the origin of the cancer. Since January, he's had a kidney removed, various procedures and is now being told that it's in his lung, liver & possibly hip bone. As you can imagine, this has all been a lot to take in and it is costly. His sister is his only other family member and she is doing her best to get him to appointments, handle paperwork and consult with doctors. His friends are also pitching in.Todd has always worked for a living and is truly a good guy. He would help anyone out and I really want to try to help him. He needs assistance to continue to pay his rent, health insurance and various other expenses. His disability from his job ends this month and he will have to apply for Social Security Disability. There is no telling how long this will take and he will have no income in the meantime. The doctors are going to administer a general chemo treatment since they do not have a specific area to target. He's been given a time frame of 6 months to 2 years but no one knows for sure.I hesitate to put a Goal Amount on here because every little bit will help and quite frankly I don't know how much is enough. I do know that I would like to at least try to take away one less burden from him because it sure is awful to worry about money when you are in a crisis situation.
