It is with a heavy and broken heart I am reaching out to our friends, family, and the kindness of strangers for help for my cousin. Quinea is the dedicated, loving mother of Manuel, 3, and Athena, 2. She lives everyday to make their lives as happy and fulfilled as possible. On June 25th, a rare and much deserved day away from the kids, Quinea got a call that Manny had drowned and was being rushed to the hospital. Instead of playing being his usual silly and sweet self, Baby Manny has been on a ventilator for several weeks with no blood flowing to his brain. The doctors have concluded he is brain dead and as any parent may, they are scrambling for a second opinion. Quinea and Manuel SR are at baby Manny’s side around the clock. They are consumed with pain and a rollercoaster of emotions and the last thing anyone in their shoes should be thinking about are finances and money for all unknown future expenses as they navigate this tragedy. I am writing this hoping your donations can at least help Quinea take care of the things in life that are fixable while she figures out how to live with the devastating phone call she can’t fix.
