This is Carmella.  She is a 6 lb. chihuahua & rat terrier mix, and right now she is fighting to come home to her family.


A few days ago Carmella and her brother Paco were out for a walk when a careless bicycle rider struck her and injured her quite severely.  According to the Vetrinary Surgeon she needed emergency surgery to repair a severed intestine and drain her stomach to prevent sepis shock.  Our family is hoping for the best but we are scared and worried for her health.

Carmella's dad and I love her very much, and want the best possible care for her.  Unfortunately that care is very expensive.  I work in the service industry, and her dad is a public school teacher.  A $7,000 hospital bill hurts, but not as much as the pain we would feel if we lost Carmella without doing everything we could.  Carmella is affectionate and friendly and a sweetheart.  Any help you could provide towards her care would mean so much to our family.  We would be forever grateful for your support.
