Taylor McAfee was in a serious bike accident last Monday while biking on the Crystal Bridges trails. After spending a day in the ER, we were told that she broke both arms. Taylor's left arm is hurt far worse than her right. She will need several screws and a plate implanted into her left elbow. Her wrist on her right arm will be in a cast for the foreseeable future. Taylor also cracked her upper jaw and she will need 3 top front teeth removed and replaced with implants.
Medical bills have reached $10,000 already, with many more hospital visits to come.
Taylor will head to college in Colorado this August, so the timing is a bit unfortunate for the McAfee family.
