Bringing Dan Dejong Home

Hello, my name is Patty Woods and I am a friend of Dan and Shelley Dejong. I am personally asking for help for my friends in a time of  need. Here is my friends story:
     Dan Dejong was diagnosed with cancer on his 49th birthday in 2011, 10 months after he and his beautiful wife Shelley were married. Chordoma is a rare cancer, 1 in 1 million diagnosed. It is a tumor of the spinal chord. Dan's tumor is 10 inches involving his entire sacral area, hips and now pelvic girdle consuming his bone structure of support. His tumor was inoperable due to it's size upon discovery.  Dan has indured 42 rounds of proton beam radiation at Mass General, Boston for an 8 week duration. He has been followed for 4 years by Mass General and Dr.'s at CU Anshutz.   July 16th, 2016, Dan's son was getting married and unfortunately Dan was still hospitalized and missed the wedding. His son and groomsman never left him out of the celebration by even wearing Superhero t-shirts under their tux's! His dad is his Superman/Superhero! Since June 28th Dan has been hospitalized 11 days enduring multiple diagnostic tests each day, followed by surgery, then home 3 short days  and back to the hospital for 10 days for an infection that can't be accessed to drain due to the tumor.   They are a loving, caring and giving couple, they are the fundraisers for other people in need. Now they need our help.  Dan and Shelley deserve to not have to worry about the Dr.'s and hospital bills that are arriving daily. As we all know, even with insurance , out of pocket expenses and out of network costs, medical financial burdens can be detrimental to families facing long term health care problems.  Please help in anyway you can,  to allow them to enjoy each other now that Dan is home.
