David Pipkin Temple’s Underwriting Director and Kim Alexander Senior Underwriter will be climbing the world’s tallest free standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, in October this year. They will be part of a team of 15.
This is the biggest physical challenge we have ever faced and we are doing it to help a very inspirational friend, Franco Gasparotti, and for three charities Combat Stress, Soldiering On and Vision 2020 UK.
Franco Gasparotti is a former soldier in the Coldstream Guards who was seriously injured during operational service and was invalided out of the Army. He suffered from post -traumatic stress syndrome which manifested as a huge weight gain. Through his own perseverance he lost the weight but has needed a number of surgical procedures not funded by the NHS.
He is now a freelance health and fitness consultant and ambassador for Combat Stress & The Soldiering On Through Life Trust. It is Franco’s determination and compassion for others that is the inspiration for this trek, and the principal aim to help him raise funds for his operations.
All those joining Franco are self –funding, so please help us raise funds directly for him. Any funds over the target will go to, Combat Stress, the Soldiering On through Life Awards and VISION 2020UK.
