Postpartum Care for Melissa Simard

Melissa A. Simard just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Harvey.  Unfortunately, right when she was fully dilated, there were complications in the birth, and she was sent for an emergency c-section.    Little Harvey was sent to neonatal intensive care at the Glenn, while mommy stayed behind at St-Mary's.   Currently Harvey is undergoing neonatal therapeutic hypothermia to prevent brain damage.    This fund raiser is to help pay for post natal care for Melissa, so she can overcome this difficult hurdle with the best absolute support system.     Melissa is raising little Harvey alone, and we are raising funds to help her ease into motherhood.   We are updating Melissa and Harvey's needs as the situation progresses, and we are raising the fundraising goal to 1500$. So please continue giving. Every dollar counts. Don't be afraid to donate 10$.   The first 450$ is being spent on a 12 hour package of phenomenal post-natal doula services with Millie Tresierra. Millie has also offered extra hours voluntarily, as needed, and will help with organization, house work, emotional support, lactation and more. 

Some extra services might be added, as needed. 

Amy money remaining from the campaign, after payment for services, will be donated to Melissa and Harvey.

Many kind people have offered their services on a volunteer basis, and this includes massage therapy, osteopathy and six weeks worth of prepared meals.
