Joseph "Smokey" Holman Medical Fund

Spende geschützt
Tweed Funk's  front man Joseph “Smokey” Holman has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer and will be undergoing a stem cell transplant starting in August. The musician community has rallied to put on a show to help raise money for Smokey to help cover his expenses while undergoing the stem cell transplant. The treatment period could put him out of work for a minimum of 3 months.  Smokey's out-of-pocket responsibility (not covered by his insurance) will be around $15,000 based on initial estimates from the financial people at the hospital.  Additionally, as a working musician a big portion of Smokey's living expenses are covered by the money he makes playing shows and from merchandise sales.

Multiple myeloma is a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells. Normal plasma cells are found in the bone marrow and are an important part of the immune system. We are hoping that with successful treatment that Smokey will be able to resume performing later this fall and can have a number of happy and productive years ahead.
