Hello Friends & Family
If you know Jen & Randy, or Kayla and Aiden, you KNOW Ryder, aka. Bird.
Earlier this summer Ryder was diagnosed with Mast Cell Tumor Cancer, stage II.
In June, he had surgery to remove the tumor on the back of his leg- we prayed it was a success but knew they didn’t have clear margins.
We turned to plan B, oncology.
UWMadison was where we wanted to be but couldn’t get in til end of July. LakeShore Specialists was able to get Ryder in yesterday.
The day before, Ryder’s leg swelled up...we learned it was a lymph node that was now measuring the size of a LEMON. ••overnight••
After a trip to WVRC on the 4th of July, led to antibiotics and yet another ER bill.
Ryder’s appt at Lakeshore provided us with the following:
Mast Cell Tumor
Stage 2
HIGHLY aggressive
IV Chemo- weekly for 5 weeks
Oral Chemo to follow
This cancer, left UNtreated, would only keep Ryder alive for 4-6 MONTHS
TIME. IS. OF. THE. ESSENCE.
I would like to raise 8,000 to cover the cost of chemo- additional vet visits- potential ER visits, food, days off of work, gas, etc.
I pray the cost doesn’t even reach 8k so, in turn, if it doesn’t, the balance raised will be donated to another dog fighting this ugly cancer to stay alive.
