AVS - That is how every one knows my dear friend AVS Anil.
My memories start at the Nursery school in SVU Campus and Anil is one of the first friends of my life.
Anil was such a caring guy that you wont believe that in 4th Grade itself, he used to give away his "Yogurt rice" prepared by his mother. We used to crave for this speciality every day and exchange our lunch boxes with him. This went on for years.
Those days were so special and I can't stop my emotions when I think of those days.
Anil, started his career at SV Arts college with hopes of making it big in the world of Academics and dedicated his whole energies in running the Computer sciences lab at the college.
Perhaps, he did it too much and it started taking a toll on his health from 2004. The High dosage BP medications prescribed by some doctors lead to his Kidney failure in 2014.
Anil's mother, father, wife, brother and the whole family served him with a single minded focus and devoted all their time and money in getting back Anil to normalcy. They spent countless nights and days in serving him and trying to reduce his pain.
Anil went through dialysis countless times in the last two years and each time, it used to take 6 hours to complete a session. Also, this process was extremely painful.
The only solace in this ordeal was Baby Pragna born to AVS Anil and his wife Hemalatha. She rekindled the joy in the family and Anil was almost getting back to normalcy.
In spite of all the suffering, he never shared it with any of our friends and the family struggled alone. They never asked for anything from anyone.
In Dec 2015, when I met Anil, i was reduced to tears seeing the needle holes in his hands and a permanent tube that was inserted in his hand for dialysis.
When Anil was getting back to normalcy, two weeks back, Anil suffered a brain hemorrhage and was hospitalized for a week and left to the eternal abode to be with God forever.
Friends, Anil's family is emotionally drained because of the great loss they have suffered. They are also in severe financial distress paying the medical bills for years.
As Anil's friends, we are coming together to lend a helping hand to the family and to secure the future of baby Pragna, we are trying to create this fund.
