Umu's Trip to Europe 2017

Hello everyone!

My name is Umu-Hawa Jalloh; (daughter of Tenneh Gibateh) and I am a sophomore in high school, transitioning into the eleventh grade. My family is from Sierra Leone, West Africa. However, my siblings and I were born and raised in the United States.

I have been learning the Spanish language for the past three to four years at school, but this year I decided to try something else. Currently I am taking Italian, approaching my second year of learning the language.This is new for me since I've been accustomed to Spanish ever since middle school.

I am interested in traveling to experience other cultures and traditions around the world. The thought of being amongst a different group of people whilst viewing their way of life and having a change of environment is a captivating aspect of foreign travel.
It is thrilling to be able to partake in new customs from various continents and I would love to incorporate this into my future career some day.


Recently I was blessed with the chance to attend a trip to Italy, Switzerland, and France for 9 days! I never thought I would be granted the opportunity to travel out of the country so soon. My school partnered with EF Tours in order to sponsor an educational but out-of-country trip. This will hopefully take place over the next spring break of 2017, and will be my first time going to another continent.


Overall, I need to raise at least $5,000. This money will cover various expenses ranging from:
Passport fees
The flight to Italy
The flight from France to home
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Ferry and bus fares
Train fares
Hotel expenses
Boarding expenses
Tour expenses
Fees to attractions and museums
ETC.



As of now, I need to raise this money as soon as possible in order to secure my position on this trip. With your help, I will be able to acquire enough funds to cover every expense. Please assist me in making this opportunity a reality. Any amount that you are willing to give will help me and my family a great deal.
