If you ever been to a pop-up at CocoAndre Chocolatier, Encina, Double Wide, AJ Vagabond,  Roy G’s or have been to Peticolas, then you have seen John of Casa Masa. Or even better, you’ve tried his tamales. John has always been reliable and you could always count on the fact that he will have a smile on his face.  John had to face financial hardships in 2020, but he is also the soul provider for his older sister who recently suffered a stoke. John is needing to pay out of pocket for her physical therapy which could benefit her greatly. But unfortunately, there’s not enough funds to budget since tamale pop-ups are his main source of income at the moment.  If you know John, he is the one to take on the small odd jobs from Facebook posting; move tree trunk, clear out shrubs, etc. if that means it’s extra cash, then he’ll do it. Let’s lend a hand to someone that offered us a smile and tamales and gave us something to look forward to during the pandemic. We just want to be able to reach out and help a staple in the Oak Cliff restaurant scene. Any little bit helps and will ensure John reaches an immediate goal.
