Tragedy recently struck our family...
On Sunday, July 17th, my great newphew Lunden Jr. suffered a traumatic brain injury that resulted in several bleeds in his brain and what we hope is only temporary paralysis. He has been fighting for his life in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit since late Sunday evening.
Over the past few days, our family and friends have gathered around my nephew (his father, Lunden Sr.) with prayer, love and tremendous support. We have a long road ahead of us and we will be there for the long haul. But right now... we are asking for your help!
To date, doctors have not been able to provide our family with a clear prognosis for LJ's path to recovery. His condition is very severe, and the exams needed to tell us what his future may look like have to wait until the swelling in his brain reduces. This means, we can only continue to wait and pray.
Unfortunately, this tragedy has also left LJ with only one parent to care for him. My first nephew Lunden Sr., will be his sole parent for the unforseeable future and as baby LJ heals, Lunden must be by his side. In just a few short days, he has already seen how missing work has caused financial hardship, and the hospital bills are just beginning to build. My hope is that with your help, we can lessen the burden on this young father. Any amount will help and your gifts are appreciated beyond measure.
I certainly understand that these are trying times and not all of you will be able to help with financial support. I ask that you keep baby LJ in your prayers and postive thoughts. We believe in the power of prayer and we know it will help to have as many people as possible sending him loving energy.
If you can spare, 5, 10 or 100 dollars, please do! The funds will go directly to Lunden Sr. and be used to ease the financial burden this tragedy has brung upon him.
