Hi everyone,
If you know Rodney, you know an upbeat, funny, sociable and well loved guy! He’s extremely hard working and has been our families main source of income until recently.
These last few months have been tough on Rodney and his family after learning of his stage 4 esophageal cancer diagnosis.
Since his diagnosis, he has started chemo and was put out of work for an initial 6 months. We are starting this fundraiser to help with medical expenses as well as everyday costs including rent and bills. While Rodney is receiving a small amount of money from SDI through his part time job he is not receiving anything from his full time job with the City of San Jose due to them having a separate disability program that he did not opt into when starting working there 14 years ago. This is something that he just found out about and came as a big shock when his SDI was denied as that would have been his main source of income. We don’t want him worrying about his family or the possibility of losing our home on top of everything going on. We just want him to focus on fighting. With that being said we asking for donations of any amount, anything helps and is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate a share is also a big help! Thank you so much❤️
