Nanay Fe’s Future Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
Hi all! to clear up any confusion my grandma is currently on a timeline and this page is for her future expenses. She is still alive and with us and is currently recieving treatments to ease her pain and make her life a bit easier.

Original post:
Hey everyone, It saddens me that I have to make a gofund me for this reason. If you know me personally and have been my friend for quite awhile or even for a bit you probably have met my grandma. She’s probably asked you not to call her grandma or “Lola” but instead refer to her as “Nanay”. Nanay Fe has most likely also given you some sort of life advise, whether it had to do with what kind of food to eat or to even just go for any of the jobs you’ve been debating about applying for. Regardless, she’s touched many people’s lives one way or another. This gofund was made to help pay for her future funeral expenses..

Background:
Nanay Fe was undergoing dialysis treatments for the past 2+ years and has had many underlying health conditions along the way. Last year she developed a hernia that caused her multiple trips to the E.R and many hospital visits. Then around late November of last year  she caught COVID-19 and was admitted to the hospital in where she stayed for over 2 months. During that time, doctors said she had gone through a bit of brain damage and that this was most likely going to cause a bit of memory loss and confusion. Also, fluid development in her heart and lungs. Her hernia began to worsen as well. She has undergone several of treatments and rehabilitation methods but none of it seems to be working for the long run. Nanay Fe was then transferred to a rehabillitation center where her health started to change for the worse. Doctors explained that her hernia was causing her to cough vigorously restricting her brain from receiving the proper amounts of oxygen needed to help her heal. Due to her multiple health conditions surgery was not an option at that time, but when the time came to where emergency surgery was needed to be performed ASAP her chances of survival were 50/50. Thankfully she survived the surgery and began her slow recovery process. After, she was transferred to a skilled nursing home (Where she’s currently staying at), things did not follow through as expected. She got worse! Doctors once again explained that the fluid in her heart does not let her body fully heal and is actually making her health worse faster than expected. She is now about to begin hospice care and doctors have determined that she only has 6 months to 1 year left  before it’s time for her to pass on... Even though our family has been hoping and praying for a miracle we can no longer deny the fact that her time may actually be coming. Doctors are asking for us to be prepared.
If you know me, I rarely like to ask for personal help and would rather attempt to solve things on my own, but unfortunately I do not have the resources to do so. I am asking for your generosity and prayers during these critical times.
All funds recieved will go to funeral/memorial services and any medical bills needed to be paid.
Thank you for your time and please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
