Timothy Novotny's Recovery Fund

Hello Everyone,
My dear cousin Timothy Novotny had a horrible accident Monday July 18th, 2016. A firework went off and tore his hand apart. His left hand lost his fingers leaving only a small part of his thumb. His face was also affected with small burns but that will thankfully heal up with time. Doctors are trying to save his hand but if what they are doing to help him does not work he will lose his hand as well. He is  a wonderful 20 year old young man who made a mistake that he will regret for the rest of his life. Nobody is mentally prepared for such a tragedy let alone physically. He will have a long recovery process ahead of him. Throughout his healing process I started a go-fund-me account to help him and his family financially through this journey. His family is devastated by this. While they are helping him emotionally we can take some of the burden off. I am also sharing his story in the hopes to remind people how dangerous fireworks are. Especially young people who think this is a fun thing to do but later find out it ruins lives and leaves them with a lifelong injury or possibly even the loss of their lives. We thank God it is only his hand and he can live a fulfilling life after all the therapies he will have to endure. We cannot change what happened but can only move forward to help this young man.
