Hello Friends and Family,
It has been made known to most of you that Tharon has been suffering from Liver failure. During this time his sister Lynette has been by his side as well as friends near and far.
I spoke with Lynette and recieved her blessing to set up a gofundme for any expences that may accure during his time in Hospice, and sadly the costs of what is to come.
It pains me as well as most of you to see anyone go through the pain that Tharon is, as well as his families suffering during this time.
Tharon has lead a hard life, a fun life, a life full of more then most could imagine.
Yes, he is no angel, but are any of us really?
I just ask if you can to take a moment and think of the fun times, how many of us are now friends because he at one time was or is still in our lives.
For me Tharon was at one time like a brother to me.
He is my son's very silly Uncle Tharon, and one of my husbands best friends.
If you can spare anything it will be greatly appreciated.
Below is the first posting on FB from his sister Lynette when he was finally able to speak and have family called.
Two weeks after he was taken into the hospital.
Sadly, after he made the 911 call for help he was found in a parking lot with no wallet or ID.
Good Morning All.... For those that know my brother Tharon Knight , he was admitted to ICU on June 3rd unconscious...I was notified on June 14th and am driving daily to help with his care..... Tharon will wake for 20-30 minutes at times, which gives us opportunities to stuff food and drink in his face along with some conversation.... He recognizes just about everyone that comes to visit when he is focused. There are times it seems as though he is looking right through you and seeing someone or something else and you have to call his name to refocus him... He is sleeping most of the time due to the high amount of ammonia in his brain and the morphine that is given to him for pain... At this time they can't say how much longer he will be with us...... If you would like to visit him before he leaves us, here has open visitation and is at Elmwood Care Center 2829 Shattuck, Berkley, CA room 216b.... And if anyone has a room or place in the Oakland/Berkley area that we could use periodically that would give me a break from this daily 4 hour round trip drive, it would be a blessing.... Thank You to all the friends that have been coming out since we all found out, it really lifts his spirits and gives me comfort knowing he is not alone all day when I can't be there....
Please spread the word and share.
Kindness and love to all,
Terrie
