A family near and dear to my heart! This is Matt & Brittany and their beautiful family. Matt works for a private owned Paint company and Brittany has been a stay at home mom. Two years ago they finally purchased their first home. Perfect World, Perfect Family. Then in October 2015 along came baby Ava at a whopping 8lbs. 12 oz. So beautiful! December 2015 is when things starting taking a turn. Ava was not able to keep any milk down and weight was decreasing. Since December, she has been admitted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville at least10 times. Some of those stay lasting 2 – 3 weeks at a time. Tests after tests and the Doctors are still not sure what is causing her condition. She’s had the G-tube inserted in her nose for nutrition for several months. Still no improvement. Then they placed a J-Tube into her stomach and placed her on a high calorie formula.
Doctors ended up placing a picc line to aid in needless amount of needle sticks. Two weeks ago she developed an infection in her blood and since then her picc line has had to be removed and a central line is being inserted. She has been in Shands since July 7th. This baby has been through so much in the last 7 months and has a long road to recovery. Follow up appointments continue after each discharge.
Ava who is 9 months old is now up to 15 pounds. Mom has been staying with her at the hospital as much as possible. When Matt takes off work to care for the other 4 children he does not get paid, so he is not able to work the overtime to live as they have been accustomed to for many years. They now have the added expense of child care for the other 4 children, upcoming school clothes as well as much wear and tear is occurring on their new vehicle which needs 2 new tires.
Matt is always there to help others so now it’s time to turn the table.
This family would never ask for help! With the added expenses, they have enough to worry about. Share with your friends. No donation is too small.
Please, pray that the Doctors find out what is wrong with Ava and heal her. Also, pray for strength for her family.
