"LAFAYETTE PARISH BACKS THE BLUE" is a collaborative effort to fund safety equipment for the law enforcement officers of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department. Over 275 deputies consistently put their lives on the line for the citizens of Lafayette Parish. Not only is there a shortage of this equipment for these brave men and women, but the minimal equipment currently supplied is outdated and insufficient. The motto of these dedicated public servants is: "Serving the community with courtesy, professionalism, and respect." Let's show our support and ensure that they are safe and well-prepared when protecting the people of Lafayette Parish.
Below are some of the individual items needed by the department. We encourage you to fund a specific piece of gear by donating that amount. We also welcome straight donations of any level, and those funds will be pooled to purchase equipment as well.

This campaign is welcomed and approved by Lafayette Parish Sheriff Mark Garber. "For those we employ to run bravely toward the sound of gunfire, this fund provides the equipment they need to protect us and survive."
