This is Bernice Sigler, my dear friend for most of my life. She is a strong Christian, a great mother and grandmother. She misses her family so much. Bernice is currently in Raleigh, NC at Duke hospital and has been doing therapy for her lungs. Friday, June 25th, Duke hospital has listed her for a double lung transplant. Bernice is a kind and compassionate person and she has always helped anyone in need at anytime.
Bernice is too humble of a person to ask for help, so we as family and friends are asking for her. She has been at Duke for 6 weeks already. Once she has her surgery, she has to live close to the hospital for at least 6 months. Housing expenses are going to be extremely expensive, let alone all her medical bills.
Any help for Bernice would be greatly appreciated. I ask you to lift her up with your prayers through this very difficult journey. As she said “I am listed- - God is good!!!
