Life isn't fair! It can be challenging, heartbreaking, and downright cruel at times. There are few people who can manage to keep it together when life throws one curve ball after another. Jeremy Smario is one of these people.
Jeremy Smario is a hard-working, kind, and loving 33-year-old husband and father of two, who is very ill. He needs your help.
Jeremy was recently diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Cardiomyopathy is the name for diseases of the heart muscle. These diseases enlarge your heart muscle or make it thicker and more rigid than normal. Jeremy's cardiomyopathy has worsened quickly and now he is waiting for a heart transplant. Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Jeremy is facing very high expenses including post-transplant medications of up to $1,500 a month, co-pays, lab fees and more.
In order to receive the heart, Jeremy has to prove that he is not only psychologically sound, he has to prove that his family will be able to manage the financial burden. This is why we (his friends and family) come to you. What if Jeremy were your son? What if he were your dad or your brother? Please consider how you might feel if your loved one were in this situation...and then consider donating to this cause.
Please. For Jeremy, Kelly, Elijah, and Bella.
