"Dearly beloved ..taken too soon"

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life"... Unfortunately, Prince's quote is fitting. Thursday, April 21st, will be a day for the world to remember, but even more so for the Deschaine family of Maine. Joseph Armand Deschaine passed away suddenly while making a delivery of his passion of his hand crafted furniture. Soon they will lay this family icon to rest, a Vietnam War Veteran, a Craftsman, an admirable Teacher & Coach, but more important, a devoted husband to the beautiful Monique, and the loving father and biggest fan to Matthew, Nathaniel, Stephanie, Michael and Jonathan. At the ripe young age of 70, Joseph Deschaine had so much more life to live, he had 4 more weddings to attend, he needed the opportunity to see his children excel in their life goals and grand-babies to love on and teach the game, he was also still pursuing his own dreams of turning his book "Book of Jon" into a screenplay. After reading the outpouring of love from around his community of friends and family, he impacted more people then we could ever hope to.

With this being said, There is nothing more then this family deserves then to send off this man in a proper fashion. He served his country, he gave back to his community, and was a completely devoted father and husband and would give you the shirt off his back if needed. His love for Monique after nearly 40 years of marriage and 5 children later; was just that, LOVE, deeper then any soul can even begin to wish they had. Whatever you can donate to help cover the funeral costs is more then appreciated. This family is already at such a loss for losing such a wholesome man, that this financial burden is the last thing We want them to worry about.

Joseph will be remembered by the communities in which he was involved through 5 decades of students and athletes that loved and learned from him and will always be known as "Coach". He will be remembered forever from his quote,
"The Heart of a Champion Possesses a Special Chamber That Keeps Saying Don't Quit. Just Don't Quit." --Coach Deschaine.

The Deschaine family will continue to push through this thing called life, and continue to reach for their goals, and hope that you do the same. Please. Don't quit. Just don't quit.
