Hello everyone. My name is Joan Acampora. I am starting this go fund me page on behalf of my ex-husband, and very dear friend, Richard Acampora. A.k.a. to you all as Richie, or Rich, or as his Club brothers like to call him, SAVAGE! In case you were not aware, Rich got into a very bad motorcycle accident on Thursday March 9th. He went down very hard and is in critical condition at this time. He is not breathing on his own and cannot speak or help in his care. So that has fallen to me. We hoped we would never have to call on each other for this, but here we are. Rich is a ridiculously strongman. And I have faith that he will pull through this. My biggest fear is, The worry Rich will feel maintaining his home while he goes through this very long recovery. He will be having a few surgeries and is fighting a series of traumas to his body. Those of you who know Rich and I and our story, you know that no matter what, we will always be deep friends. So together with Amber, and his family. We are doing our very best to move along this process of healing, and to take away any stress he may feel regarding his home. I ask only that you donate to this cause only. Rich is a ridiculously proud man, but he needs this, and I’m sure he won’t admit it. But since I do know him very well, I know the worry he will feel once he is able to come to terms with his injuries. Any money earned here will be directed to his landlord and to the bills in his home. Anybody who knows me knows that they can trust in what I say of where these funds will be distributed. Rich has many friends and a lot of family behind him and I only hope that you can all find it in your heart to donate to this cause. I will keep this page updated to his condition, so you can all keep an eye on him. At this time I have restricted friends from visiting so that Rich can focus on getting himself through the next week and through the surgeries that will follow. Until Rich is able to speak on his own, I have to be his voice. He trusted me with this responsibility because he knows I can handle it. This is not a title I have ever wanted but it’s a title I promised him and our kids that I would take on. If any of you have any questions regarding his care, please feel free to reach out to me directly. His club family can reach out to Michelle DeManche, and Amber for updates on his condition. I thank you all for listening. Please pray for him.
