This is my plea to everyone I know.
My friends, family and associates. My brother Jason Balbino needs our help in the worst way. No one ever sees something like this coming but this harsh reality has been given to him and now dealing with it has become the inevitable. Jason has been diagnosed with MS and life as he has known it has flipped completely upside down. Jason has been the sole provider for his family as a boilermaker travelling all over Canada following his father and brothers footsteps as a man working with his hands and knowledge of the industry. In the middle of August life changed because of this disease for my friend. Up until then Jason was an active, healthy, hardworking guy working as a boilermaker in local 73. Out of the blue Jason has had 3 severe attacks in the last three weeks on separate areas of his neurological system including his brain and spin leaving him with damage that will require ongoing and extensive treatment to repair. He is now Physically unable to work and will require months of rehabilitation as well as medication for the rest of his life. The emotional and financial impact on him and his family is now going to be the toughest part. With the realization that he will be unable to provide for his family while rehabilitating as well as the doctor appointments, specialists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, Jason and his family are facing a burden no one should have go through. The disease is no joke. He has been through a lot throughout his 35 years but nothing compares to this.
For these reasons I’m asking those of us who can call Jason a friend to please dig deep and help raise funds to lessen his worry and ensure that this disease doesn't take away more from this family than it already has. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jason and his family.
Please help me help him and his family during this difficult time this young family is going through.
