My 15-month-old niece, Phoebe, was just learning to walk when she fell into a backyard pool. It was a parent’s worst nightmare: administering CPR on her tiny, unresponsive body until help arrived. A helicopter came and took sweet Phoebe to one of the best children's hospitals in the country, but her small lungs just wouldn't work on their own anymore. Her mom and dad now keep vigil by her hospital bed, where her dad will tuck in amidst the snarl of tubes and monitors so she can feel him holding her hand. He never wants to let her go.
I am starting this GoFundMe to help my brother and his family pay for the medical care that is helping to keep Phoebe alive, in the hopes she will wake up again one day.
