Medical expenses for Linda

When you think of a servant of the Lord, most people think of their pastor or priest. Or when you think of a role model that has impacted your  life, the list can be broad. When I think of a role model that has also been a servant of the Lord all of her life, I think of my aunt Linda. Linda Middlebrooks was born and raised in Alabama but met God's calling for her life in New Orleans, Louisiana. If you've ever met Linda, you would never forget her. Her bubbly, warm smile with her sparkling eyes and comforting upbeat voice. Her presence in a room has a way of making you feel welcomed. And her love of Christ is shown every single day. She worked along side my uncle Larry Miguez in the Irish channel of New Orleans at Rachel Sims Baptist mission for over thirty years. The countless lives she has  touched in the name of Jesus is well into the thousands. She served as assistant director of Rachel Sims and was in charge of the girls after school programs, bible study classes, GED classes, ministered to teenage girls and those who were pregnant get the help and assistance they needed. In 2010, the mission was shut down due to inadequate funding to keep it open. All of Larry and Linda's hard work was halted. But they have refused to leave. Linda worked in other areas, helping the churches of the community until she suffered health issues and could no longer work. She has suffered from back pain and had procedures done in the past few years. Then she needed hip replacement surgery and needed help walking with the assistance of a walker. Once she thought she was headed towards good health, things took a turn for her. She recently has been suffering from severe infections due to her hip replacement. Her doctor advised that she would need another procedure but they would need to remedy the infection before moving forward. She's been so positive through this whole process. But it's been wearing mentally,  physically  and financially. With her being unable to work, the medical bills have been piling up. I've watched her all my life give of her time, love and effort selflessly to the community. Now it's time to show her some love and blessings right back. She is so deserving of it (but never in a million years would she ever ask, that's why I'm doing this for her). I ask that you give what you can or what the Lord or your heart leads you to contribute. Thank you and may God bless you.
