Baby Timothy's Fund
Donation protected
This Campaign is for Baby Timothy Reed. His parents, my niece, Ashley & Erik Claybaugh discovered their new baby boy would be born with a CHD (Congentital Heart Defect) several months ago. After he was born, the doctors realized he had not one but two defects; A Double Inlet Left Ventricle and Aortic Coarctation.
Timothy was born July 27th in Orlando and originally scheduled for surgery August 1st. His medical team decided it would be best to transport him by helicopter to John Hopkins All Childrens's Hospital in St Petersburg. They rescheduled surgery for August 9th and has undergone several hours of surgery, has had a few complications and may need more surgery before the week is over.
Needless to say Ashley and Erik have taken leave from their jobs while traveling from Titusville to be with their newborn son and will need to continue to do so. This is only the beginning. Timothy will eventually need two more surgeries in the months and years ahead. He will likely be in St Petersburg for several weeks. He has two older brothers Thomas age 3 and 1/2 and Erik age 2 and 1/2, so the need is significant.
How often do we ask, "what can I do to help"? Here's an answer. A tank of gas, a week of groceries, a month of diapers. The untold and unforseen expenses can add up quickly. Thank God for Ronald McDonald House and government programs that help pay some of the medical expenses. This is not a set goal, we are hoping for enough to make a difference in this young family's life. No contribution is too small, it all adds up to meet a need.
This is our chance to give to them and support a major time in their life when they need it most.
Please share this with friends, relatives and extended family, You never know who can help. Not everyone can give and some already have. If you can't donate, please keep this little man in your prayers.
On behalf of Ashley and Erik, thank you for your kindness, love and generosity.
