Thirty+ years of being a Caregiver has done some major damage to my mom’s back. A few weeks of daily ibuprofen has made a nasty hole in her gut. She has been in and out of ICU three times, had multiple blood transfusions, and surgery to repair the ulcer. Everything is improving, little by little, but she’s about to be slammed with the bill. Even with insurance, this could drain her savings and make her recovery even more stressful.
