Matthew Blaine Evans Watkins
Donation protected
My name is Elaine Evans and on July 13th, 2016 my 24-year-old nephew, Matthew was shot twice in his own home by 2 gunmen. The case is still currently open, so I am not able to say much.
It’s a true MIRACLE my nephew Matthew is still alive. The doctors gave him a 5 out of 6 and 6 was death.
Matt was shot in the chest and in his buttocks. Matt had startled the gunmen as he was coming down the steps from his bedroom, they shot him first in the chest, he turned around to grab his 2-year-old daughter, Mylah to hide her, then they shot him in the back.
The MIRACLE is he is alive and going to make it.

Matthew is my HERO.
The HERO part is Matt saved his daughter, Mylah.

One of the bullets split Matt’s liver in half and he is not able to breath on his own. The doctor's were able to remove the bullet from his chest but the other bullet cannot be removed due to how close the bullet is to his nerves and could possible paralyze him if they try to remove it.
Matt has a long hard road for recovery, myself and his mother and family are asking for any support and donations to help with his medical bills, time off work, etc. Any amount helps and all donations are greatly appreciated.
I am very thankful that I have my nephew still here with us and I get to tell him every day how much I Love him and to remind him his middle name Blaine was given to him for a reason. So from the bottom of my heart, I personally appreciate and thank everyone for all the love and support you have shown me and my family in this time on need.
From myself and our family, God bless you for all your support and donations.
