The purpose of this fundraiser is to help support Frank Marky and his family with financial expenses during this difficult time. Frank, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a retired Chicago Fire Department paramedic, has been married for 43 years to Donna , is the father of three daughters, Stephanie, Joelle, and Frances, and the grandfather of Alyssa, Elexis, Joey, and Anthony. Since serving his country in the Vietnam war, Frank has been battling health problems such as diabetes and hepatitis C which has caused him liver failure. He was on the transplant list for a new liver and has been back and forth to hospitals and doctors all while still trying to care for his family and sick wife as well while the symptoms of another disease went unnoticed - cancer. Recently, he was diagnosed with large B-cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma which was caused from Agent Orange in Vietnam and has already metastisized to his bones and he has fluid in his lungs making it hard for him to breathe. As we try to keep him comfortable because chemotherapy is no longer an option since it damaged his liver even quicker and he was taken off of the transplant list, he knows his time is coming. Miracles do happen and we would like to think one will for him, however, Frank is coming to terms with his situation and while he is still able to have a say he has addressed what he wants as far as his services. His well deserved military service, and walk to his grave site next to where his parents are laid to rest is costly though and we need your help. Any donations towards Frank's wishes would be greatly appreciated and never forgotten. We aren't sure how much fight this well loved man has left in him, but he has accomplished so much in his life and deserves these last wishes. Thank you very much in advance.
