Lillie crossed over to be with our Savior around 8:55pm last night. She was surrounded by family and the Lord took her peacefully! Oh my heart breaks as I type this, but what peace and joy I feel too! No more pain for Lillie- she’s completely healed! The Lord blessed us with a wonderful 8 years and Lillie touched so many lives through her journey and battles she faced! Her smiled never wavered, even in the last few days she was on Earth with us! She didn’t fear or was scared to go be with Jesus... She was the best momma to her babies and I know she’s holding her baby brother or sister that was waiting on her this am! Oh the sights she’s seeing- I know we’re aren’t supposed to be jealous- but I’ll be honest, I’m a little jealous of Lillie this morning! But, I have the promise of seeing her again! Continue to pray for our family in the days, weeks, months even years ahead! Lillie, our princess, was one of our biggest blessings! Oh how we love her!!

It ultimately breaks my heart to have to write this post! As some know, Lillie had a seizure on Tuesday while we were in NC! We were getting ready for the day and Lillie became unresponsive and we had to call 911! When we got to the ER, Lillie was still seizing so they had to sedate her and put her on a ventilator. They did a CT scan that showed a small brain bleed and what looked to be new disease! So, we followed that up with a MRI and it confirmed our biggest fear! Lillie has 2 new spots on her brain and around one of them started bleeding and caused an absent stroke. As of now, there’s nothing else we can do so we took a med flight home on Wednesday night to Childrens of Alabama and came home Thursday evening! Please pray for us in the days and weeks ahead! I don’t know how to prepare myself for what’s to come, but I’m leaning on the Lord bc he’s been with us through it all and will continue to do so!! Pray for comfort for Lillie as we are now on hospice care to help keep her home and comfortable! Pray for strength for us and peace. Lillie had a great day yesterday and we’re praying for several more like it! We ask that if you want to visit, call or text first. We love each of you and are thankful for every prayer being prayed for our family!

We’re getting a med flight home tonight at 9:00 to Childrens of AL! Pray for safe travels and safe travels for Jon and the boys tomorrow as they drive back!
Lillie was taken off the vent about 45 minutes ago!!! So far, she’s doing well and breathing on her own at 98% room air! I’ll update later after the dr makes rounds and will update on the MRI! We’re thankful for each of you that has prayed for Lillie, Jon and I, the boys and our extended family! The days ahead are going to be different and harder, but I know a God who can comfort and give peace! Pray with us for those things!
HELP LILLIE BEAT STAGE 4 NEUROBLASTOMA

In May 2016 Lillie was 3.5 years old and was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a solid tumor childhood cancer. She underwent chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant and followed that with a maintenance medication. She went into remission Nov of 2016, but sadly relapsed the first time almost a year later. She went through 6 more months of chemo and antibody therapy and was declared in remission for the second time. 6 months later tho, the cancer came back and was more aggressive… we then started traveling to Michigan to see a specialist, Dr Sholler and we have been seeing her since July 2019. Lillie went into remission in Dec of 2019 and done well until Nov 2020 and we were told she’d yet again relapsed. This has been a long journey, but it’s not over yet…. Lillie had scans last week in NC, where Dr Sholler is currently at now and some of her diseased spots have worsened. We will begin a new treatment plan next week and will be traveling more frequently (monthly) to North Carolina.
