Hello! I’m Nene, 33, Mommy of Noah (5) and Nas (2), and it just hit a year that I’ve been going through a divorce/separation.

Due to lack of support, I am no longer able to maintain a life out here in Texas. When I lived on my own with my kiddos, I was almost evicted from my apartment due to losing childcare assistance while I bartended at night. I switched to the day shift and unfortunately, I am still struggling when it comes to childcare and financial stability here in Texas.

My grandmother has tried to help me as much as possible, but her injury prevents her from being able to care for two small children for long periods of time. My goal is to move us all back to California where we have a larger support system, allowing us to rebuild, and providing myself the opportunity to get the support I need in my mental health journey.
