To commemorate 20 years of graduation, the RIS Class of 1997 in collaboration with Rotary Thailand would like to raise funds to develop a water purification plant for school children of Pattana Prachanukroh School (Moo 3 Tambon Huay Sai Muang District, Prachuab Khirikhan Province). The school serves children from 7 villages in the district, where families have a mean annual income of B100,000 ($3000). This School is in urgent need of clean drinking water as the local tap water can only be used for agriculture and household chores. The School has had to buy bottled water to sell to the students. The plant's clean water will not simply be limited to school children but will also serve the impoverished villagers at large, alleviating the financial burden of purchasing clean water daily. Our class believes this would be the appropriate means of expressing our heartfelt gratitude for the valuable education we received at Ruamrudee International School, Bangkok, that has enabled us to walk our respective paths and answer our respective callings. United in this venture, we celebrate our education by serving a school that provides a similarly invaluable service to youngsters who should not only dare to dream but also dream to dare. Join us in our efforts and help us reach our goal today.
