Angels Among Us

Who comes to mind when you think of “Angels Among Us”?? It almost seems like a myth until you meet Helen Emory. This Go Fund me has been started to honor one of the extremely rare angels among us.

In early November, The Emory family suffered a devastating blow when their matriarch, Helen was diagnosed with Stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. Upon starting treatment of this nasty disease, Helen was delivered another blow when she suffered a severe stoke affecting both sides of her brain.

This diagnosis has completely devastated The Emory family. Up until the day Helen got sick she was working and a primary source of income for her family.

A little back round on this wonderful woman and the beautiful life she has created for those of you that may not have had the blessing of knowing her personally.

Walking into the Emory's home, it is impossible to not feel like you belong and be completely comfortable. Helen's welcoming and accepting energy makes you instantly feel like family. A loving Wife, Mother, Mermar, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and Very Dear Friend to so many, is always willing to put on a pot of “cawfee” (in her perfect NY accent) It is simply impossible to be near Helen and not feel love in its purest form. I've never met a woman who quite literally never had a bad word to say about anyone. The kindness of her spirit is something we all should aspire to everyday.

Helen, and the Emory family, would be the last to ever ask for anything, yet the first to offer to help another, be it a stranger or beloved friend.

A true testament to this woman is directly reflected in the beautiful family she has created that has always been the center of her universe. With their unwavering support Helen's future is very promising.

This fundraiser has been started to help the Emory’s ensure Helen gets the very best of medical care and ease the financial component as they navigate the long journey ahead to recovery.

As family, friends, and a community we have a responsibility to help each other when one of our own needs support. This special lady and family need our unwavering support and prayers.
