"Help the Trotters" Fund

Hello friends. I am trying to help a buddy out much like a buddy helped me when I needed it after my heart surgery.
       My friend and ex co-worker John Trotter was put out of work a while back after being stabbed in the stomach when some neighborhood kids attempted to burglarize his home.  He was home with his family when one of his young twin daughters answered a knock on the door.



       When she answered the door the teenagers pushed through and entered the house. They branished a knife  and a gun, and threatened his family. When a gun was raised towards a loved one John reacted. He was able to force the gun from the hand of one of the teenagers and then in the scuffle another one of the home intruders stabbed him, lacerating his liver and causing John to need immediate surgery in the Cooper Trauma Unit.  

Prior to this terrible act of violence, John was a VERY active person who worked hard and played harder. He and his wife Kelly were able to balance a busy life with three school aged children and a two working parents. When not working they found the time to do what good families do. They would often be found in parks and playgrounds doing all sorts of activities... and John was just like one of the kids while being a great father and role model to his children and a loving husband to Kelly.
Rock walls and lake play or trips to the beach were just a few of the things they enjoyed whenever they could find the time in their busy lives.

Now, a month has gone by since the surgery and John still lies on the couch, staples holding his stomache together. He will be out of work for a long time too come and he coukld really use a hand from generous friends and strangers. He would never ask on his own so I am asking for him. Help me to take a load of of his shoulders while he allows his liver the time it needs to heal. He will not sit by and let his house and way of living life slip away. He will surely head back to whatever work he can find a long time before he is ready.
He is at risk of losing everything if people don't help him out by giving even just a small donation. It all adds up much in the way his debt is adding up while going through these difficult times.  Let's all pull together and give him a fighting chance at returning to some sort of a normal life. Let's help him get backk to being the Father and Husband he was so proud to be. Let's help him get his car repaired, rent paid and school clothes bought. Let's help him so that he doesn't have to let his kids go without on their Birthdays.. all of which are in September. Together we can get him back on his feet.
