Emma's Fight

My name is Debbie Hellowell and I am raising money for Emma Carmichael. Emma is 24 yrs young, amazing, happy fiance to AJ and mother of 2, Tahlia,9 and Lincoln,3. In October 2014 Aj had enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Combat Engineer and was away from their family for a year, while Emma stayed to raise their children. Finally in December 2015 Aj was posted to CFB Petawawa where Emma and the kids were finally able to move and live a happy new life as a family. It wasn't too long after they moved when Emma had to have a regular procedure to remove a fibrioid, which Doctors had been putting off because she was so young and would need a hysterectomy. The pain and discomfort was unbearable at times so Emma opted for surgery.  Doctors removed a 5lb fibroid tumor only to discover a 2nd one.  The news was not something a 24 yr old mother of 2 would ever want to here.... It was cancer.
  As they were preparing for treatment doctors discovered a 3rd tumor attached to a main blood vessel which has made surgery not an option at this time.  Radiation has begun in an Ottawa hospital 2 hrs away from their home. The kids are now living between grandparents and aunts, so Emma can get rest and the treatment she needs.  AJ has been given a compassionate leave from the Military to care for Emma.  With no support of family and friends with them, we are asking for any type of donation to help with the cost of gas, food and medical expenses. Any little bit helps..
  Emma is fighting, she is strong and loved by so many people. Her children miss her everyday but remain positive.
