Donation protected
The 2F Project is about education, cultural enrichment, and community-building.
Hi. I'm collecting for the $400 filing fee to register the 2F Project as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in the state of Illinois. I've raised $90 so far on my own. Here's why you should help me raise the rest:
As state and federal officials continue to cut funding to social services, they leave gaps of need in local communities. Education – especially arts & culture programs – suffer heavy losses.
Fortunately, especially driven individuals step in to fill these gaps, donating their time and sharing their knowledge to strengthen their communities. These people can get more accomplished if they organize and pool their resources.
Enter: The 2F Project. In its current iteration, 2F is unofficially based out of a shared space in Rock Island, Illinois. The goal is to provide funding to independent, local educational projects including (but not limited to) lectures, classes, workshops, and public health awareness efforts.
These projects are already happening in public spaces in and around downtown Rock Island. Recent and upcoming events include free arts workshops, philosophy lectures and discussions, book clubs and discussion groups, educational film screenings, public health resources, and a school supply drive for Rock Island Public Schools.
With 501(c)3 status, The 2F Project will be able to organize and support these operations, creating more opportunities for community-building, public service, and education.
