Please help Matt & Amy Bauman
Donation protected
As some of you may already know, Amy Bauman (Farber) was assaulted on July 10, 2016, by her husbands ex wife and her stepson. Leading up to this incident they returned from Alabama to reclaim their home that was taken over by 7-8 squatters who didn't have legal permission to be in their home. They were notified by local family and friends. Their home was trashed and most of their property ruined, they still have two young children 6 and 4 years old living in the home along with 3 older children that visit frequently.
Some of you may have seen the Newark Advocate paper and heard it on the news and radio, however Amy's name was not mentioned. The woman beat her while a male held Amy's arms and hands, leaving her defenseless. Amy suffered broken facial bones and trauma, maxillofacial fracture (upper jaw), along with a severe concussion. She has seen a surgeon and because the swelling is so severe they have to wait and assess again in another 3-4 weeks to see what steps may or may not need to be taken.
This is an ongoing investigation and the mother and son duo have been charged with a felony 2 aggravated assault which carries a possible indictment of 2-15 years and restitution to the victim. They are both currently out of jail on a $25,000 bond each. The grand jury begins this coming Thursday July 21st and then is set to go to trial, it goes without saying that we are all hoping that justice is served and that they get penalized for their absurd actions towards Amy!
Please consider donating to this family during this time of need, they won't have any money coming in for at least 3-4 weeks. No donation is too small, immediate needs for the family are groceries, household items of any kind, they need flatware, pots and pans, toaster, anything kitchen related. They are in need of linens, King size sheets and twin size sheets for the little kiddos, blankets and pillows. If you would like to donate any of these items they can be given to me on their behalf just send me a private message and we can arrange something.
Amy is unable to work currently given her current physical injuries and upcoming court proceedings. Matt will secure work this week in hopes of starting the following week, but that unfortunately doesn't help with their financial needs over the next several weeks.
Please consider helping this family during their time of need during this hardship both financially and emotionally.
Thank you so very much for helping this family.
