Our friend Alex, 19 years old and a sophmore at UNC, and her brother Joseph, 21 years old and a senior at NCSU, lost their beautiful, funny and very loving mother, Lorene (Lori) Potter Simpson on July 11, 2016 very unexpectedly.
Lori loved life, nature, silliness, but she mostly loved Joseph and Alex. After losing their father when they were young, she was their primary protector, planner, nurturer and fun maker.
No amount of money will ever even come close to making up for this loss. However, this fund could possibly temporarily soften some of the financial transitions of moving forward into adulthood.
Many of us who knew Lori or know Joseph or Alex want to help or contribute in someway. Any amount will be appreciated.
No one can bring Lori back, but we can provide and care for her children as she would have wanted.
