Alvin Marcus needs some new wheels!

We are speechless!  We are so grateful for so many donations in such a short amount of time!  We have increased our goal to include shipping costs to Hawaii and accessories to add to the chair for added comfort and ease of transport.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and generosity!
     In three short weeks our eldest son, Alvin Marcus Mariteragi, is turning 20! He is the light of our world and we want to celebrate him "big" this year with an awesome gift, a new adult stroller to help him and us include him in all actives in our lives. When he was six months old he was diagnosed with cerebral hypoplasia. This meant that all developmental milestones for him would be delayed. Being the miracle that he is he has indeed met physical milestones in his own time. He crawled at age four, stood on his own at six. He used a wheelchair until he was eight. He has learned to walk and continues to walk but it is a physical and mental struggle for him to walk for long distances or long periods of time. So, we found he needs a push chair/adult stroller to be outside and apart of our families active life. Eight years ago we came across the perfect "wheels" for him. His "stroller" has helped make it possible for him to be involved in all activities outside of the home.  He has outgrown his favorite "wheels" and needs a new stroller. Our birthday wish for him is that we can raise enough money to purchase his new "wheels" ! This is more than a wish actually, it is a must! If you are able to help make his 20th birthday the best yet and gift him and us this blessing we are most humbled and grateful!
