My brother, Erick Crawford, has battled an alcohol addiction for the last fifteen years of his life. He has been fighting his demons for far too long, and he’s ready to start the road to recovery. He knows he is an addict and he is smart enough to know he can’t do this alone. He’s ready. As a professional chef, he does not have health insurance.
Anyone who has battled addiction knows it’s not just about the addiction, it’s the underlying mental health issues and the genetic predisposition of each individual. We have found a place to help him recover-his mind, body and soul. They will take him through detox, withdrawals, and everything in between, all while supporting his mental health and physical well being.
We decided we don’t want to do a GoFundMe page to cover funeral expenses; we are going to start one to cover an opportunity for our brother to find the life he was meant to have.
