Nana's Fight With Cancer An NO Entit
Hi my name is Kyrone and this is my story about my Nana (grandmother) fighting cancer aswel as having no entitlements here in western Australia. My Nana was diagnosed with Cancer in May of this year and had to give up her job. Been the only income provider after my Koro (grandfather) was made redundant last year November. It has been nothing but hard times ever since, and their journey with this FIGHT is only beginning. Koro has applied for ex amounts of job vacancies since been made redundant and has been turned down from everyone. Beyond reasons I don't understand (over qualified, age, when we want you etc) Not only are they both out of work, they are not entitled to any government support, due to the 2001 law that was put in place for New Zealand immigrants that entered Australia after that date. I have tried my hardest to support my grandparents but I only work part time and what ever I make I give to them so that my Nana is able to attend her chemo that she has every 3 weeks and her normal hospital check ups every day. My Dad has also helped out where he can, but has his own family to provide for, just as my Mum and my step Dad have to. IT'S SO HARD when you want to do more for the ones so dare to you, but you can't!!! reason why I have turned to this amazing GO FUND ME opportunity. I was told about this through several people who have helped out others through this communal funding and have had nothing but overwhelming outcomes. If I can get some kind of help to help my grandparents I will be so greatful...... My grandparents have been living off food hampers supplied through red cross, free community soup days, St Vinnies but will not be able to survive off them for to much longer, as they will be classed as abusing their usage. They have no means of Benefit entitlements from New Zealand either because of the immagration laws between kiwis living in autralia so both ways they have non what soever support, it's crazy. So I'm going FIGHT to find every means of support for them till my Nana is in the clear and I know that she is going to be around for many more years. With any lil donation will mean such a huge huge deal to all of us. I just want to say thank you to all that have taken the time to read my story, and to anyone who donates I will never know how to thank you's enough. Most sincere thanks Kyrone (grandson)
