I am Suzanne and my husband is Marc. We live in Montana as caretakers for an equestrian facility.
Our daughter Christina became sick last night 7/17/16 and spent the night in the Emergency Room with severe vomiting of blood, in Sandusky, OH. They did everything they could but what they did didn't work, so they life flighted her to Cleaveland. She continued to bleed. They were transfusing, but they couldn't replace it quick enough, and she stopped breathing twice during the flight.
Upon arriving at Cleaveland, they took her into surgery. She was in surgety for 3 hours and they removed the lower half of her stomach and found the spleen was also leaking and repaired it. The ulcers were some of the worse they've seen in the past.
So right now, she has lost half of her stomach due to ulcers, and her intestine is not connected. Also, due to all the blood she has lost and transfusions, her body is not yet making the platelets and they are having to give her those. They are hoping that soon her body will begin making platelets, and they'll operate again on Monday to reattach the intestine to her stomach.
We want to get my husband to her quickly so he can be there before she goes back into surgery on Monday. They have not seen each other in a few years, and this is just killing him to be so far away and not able to help her. Our finances are very small and limited. We have had a lot happen this year so far and our resources have all been used up.
The monies needed are $1200 for the flight. Time is critical, and $500 for motel and food for the trip. There are no extras ... just necessary funds to see our daughter, and hopefully not to say goodbye.
I apologize if this is scattered thought writing... we are still trying to process this day and worried about her.
Thank you in advance if you're able to help them. This would mean the world to them both.
