Help Me Write w/ The New York Times

Hi! My name is Zion Thomas and I found my passion. I love to write, and most importantly, tell stories about other people's lives and spread the word about these stories I find. I learned that through writing and storytelling, I can really make a career out of this through journalism and screenwriting.
Recently, I just got into the New York Times summer academy, for an intensive on writing for television! I'll be doing lots of work out in NYC to perfect my craft, as well as networking and putting out quality work for entertainment value, whether that be in an article or in a script.
In order for me to truly get to this place, and to continue working on my screenwriting and journalism career, I need to raise about 4K, but I'm only asking for 2.5K because I'm working on getting aid with the academy.
This is a dream opportunity, and words cannot describe the hunger, tenacity, and determination I have, to pursue this as a career, and to get myself to the opportunities I have and deserve to obtain. I know I'm capable of so much greatness to produce amazing quality work and relish in it, but I just need a chance to reach these opportunities that I not only deserve, but deserve because I have the talent and huger to do what I know, and to better myself at it through my community support and professional help. I'm a hard worker, and I know I'll be great one day.
